Guacamole & Salsa: Cheap, Crowd-Pleaser Recipe

This Guacamole & Salsa combo recipe is great to break the monotony of my typical diet. Also, you’ll easily pay around RM 20 – RM30+ for this recipe that can only serve 2.

It’s healthy, really refreshing, and definitely a crowd-pleaser. Making this the perfect recipe to impress during a dinner party, for cheap.

Ingredients

All fresh ingredients

This is my wife’s RM20 recipe that can serve a family of 4 as a snack.

If you cook frequently, chances are, you’ll have most of these ingredients at home.

Except for the avocados, which is the most expensive ingredient that can go for around RM 6 to RM 10 per piece.

For Guacamole

  • 2 Avocados
  • 1/2 Tomato
  • 1/4 Red onion (medium-sized)
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1/2 Chili (large)
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1 Tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

For Salsa

  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1/4 Red onion
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 1/2 Chili (large)
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 Tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 Lime
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

There’s really nothing to it. Just toss everything listed above in order, and use a fork to mash the avocados (for the guacamole).

Serving

Best served in separate bowls, chilled with unflavored tortilla chips.
