Save Money with These YouTube Cooking Channels

I love to learn how to cook as I prefer to eat at home most of the time. It’s cheaper and healthier than eating out.

Over the years, I’ve watched a lot of cooking YouTube videos, and I have come up with a list of YouTube channels that meet my criteria:

  • Not boring like traditional cooking TV shows.
  • I feel a connection with the host.
  • Straight to the point cooking content.
  • Non-condescending.
  • Easy to understand.
  • I’ve personally tried the recipes, and it works!

Best for Western Style Cooking: Gordon Ramsay

I like Gordon’s straight to the point and simple ingredients style. I like his older videos in his Ultimate Home Cooking playlist the most. I tried making the classic scrambled eggs and smoked salmon at a gathering, and it was a crowd-pleaser. The ladies especially love it.

Best for Italian Specific: Gennaro Contaldo

Gennaro used to appear together in Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube network. He is an Italian restaurant owner/chef in London. He’s quite a character and a joy to watch on YouTube. I love his pesto & ragu recipes:

Best for Malay Style & Baking: Che Nom

Che Noms is one of Malaysia’s top food YouTuber. I love her motherly instructions and superb crisp video quality. I believe there are real pros behind the camera and video editing.
